I believe you won't be surprised if The Satellite Station's new single is already on IMC. Released today, "Chain Reaction" evokes the weight of silence at the end of a relationship. A situation that I am experiencing right now. So I can tell you that it spoke to me immediately.
Needless to say, Travis Rue, the artist who makes music under the name The Satellite Station, has a knack for creating songs that speak to the masses. Always very comfortable with words and beautiful melodies, the artist from Ohio shows us once again the full extent of his talent. At almost five minutes running time, "Chain Reaction" is possibly The Satellite Station's longest song. And yet, the magic operates throughout the song. And we reach the end of the song by asking ourselves "already finished?!" Always full of beauty, mystery, and delicacy, Travis builds, minute after minute, a new masterpiece. The song is built little by little until the last minute when we find all the ingredients of a good TSS track: the beautiful vocal harmonies, the power, and of course: the triggering of the thrill (essential).
Good news, for fans of The Satellite Station, he's releasing an album in exactly two weeks, on July 30th. And in addition to releasing a masterpiece every 6 weeks, he embarked on a new adventure: creating a musical podcast with Michael, his producer at Court Street Recording, called "Top 5". The last episode welcomes a guest who is not unknown to you if you follow IMC: Jenny Kern. Small world, isn't it?
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "IMC Family" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.
