Here & Now Recordings released at the end of January a little gem that should not be missed.
It's been a long time since we had heard such an angelic voice. Lettie's voice is unreal. As soon as you hear it, you feel like you're on a cloud, floating around. A real caress for the ears, but also for the heart.
Because Lettie brings a lot of emotions through this unique voice, and also through the poetry of the lyrics in "Shoot The Breeze".
We felt the piano as a central element of the track, with powerful chords fixed on each measure, and giving us, in small doses, an additional touch of shivers.
The production is divine, nothing is left to chance, everything is very well worked, and we understand why. Lettie has surrounded herself with one of the best in the field: David Baron. He has worked with Lenny Kravitz, The Lumineers, Shania Twain, Vance Joy, Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes, or Donna Lewis just to name a few. His reputation is well established and it is a real boost for Lettie.
The singer is in the UK and the producer in the USA. They met in 2005 on MySpace. Ok, I can already see people under 20 screaming "MyWhat?" MySpace, if we want to summarize and keep it simple, it's a bit like the ancestor of Facebook and Spotify combined. It allowed you to upload your music and forge links with other musicians or music fans. Even if the tool is forgotten, it will have served well. Because the meeting of these two artists is a real chance, and today we can enjoy the fruit of their incredible collaboration.
If you need to get away from it all right now, and honestly that's understandable, given the weird times we're all going through, this track is perfect. You just have to close your eyes and imagine yourself in the middle of the cacti, with just the sound of the wind as a sound environment.
