Cody Francis - Fall Down, Repeat

What struck me first, when I hit the play button, was the sweetness of the song. I felt wrapped in cotton from the start.

Cody Francis' voice is very pleasant. No need to do a great vocal demonstration, the emotions shine through!

The chorus has everything you would expect from a good indie-pop track: an attractive melody, and at the same time sweet.

No great electronic production here, apart from a slight effect on the vocals. Hearing the strings of the acoustic guitar sliding under the artist's fingers during the bridge is priceless.

And then these delicious percussions which the artist says he added "accidentally" are in my opinion the most beautiful accident that I have ever seen in the music industry. Accidents like this are something we want every day.

The authenticity is sparkling here, and the final part of the song, with its magnificent backing vocals and additional acoustic guitar will trigger what one expects from a song when you come to read an article on Indie Music Center: the chills.

If you've grown up wondering what's wrong with you, or why you're not up to it, the song should speak to you.

Cody Francis is not at his first attempt: several of his songs have already reached the 1 million stream milestone on his Spotify. And we understand why easily. The hard work that is reflected in his music, the quality, and a lot of care taken in the production.

The 28-year-old artist from Bounty (UT) says he's influenced by ... Novo Amor, or Hollow Coves, big names that you can hear on our Indie Music Radio. Not very surprising when you see the quality of his work. Quality calls for quality.

We wish "Fall Down, Repeat" the same success. For us in any case, it's already a favorite.

Included in our "Indie Pop" Spotify playlist.
