Gabriel Lauber, whose artist name is «Gabriel Benedek», is a 29-year-old Basel musician, singer and songwriter with Irish and Hungarian roots, who puts all his passion and ambition into his music. He started playing the piano at ten, and later he took guitar lessons.

At fourteen, he wrote his first songs, lyrics as well as music, which were influenced by Jack Johnson and Red Hot Chili Peppers. In 2021 Gabriel Benedek’s single “Leila” went viral, hit 1.3 million views on Instagram and has been saved over 50,000 times, with over 500,000 plays on Spotify and counting.

He went from 85 monthly listeners to an average of 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. The music videos for his self-released singles achieved over 150,000 views on YouTube. Gabriel Benedek‘s song "Here“ put him back on international radio stations.
