When you hear the first notes of "Pillowside", the soft piano, and the delicate voice of Sigrid, you cannot imagine that this sweet ballad will become a huge emotional bomb over the minutes.

"Pillowside" is amilost's debut single, even if it's hard to believe as the quality gauge is so high. These three musicians come from completely different backgrounds: classically trained vocalist and producer Sigrid Zeiner-Gundersen, then former hard-rock drummer Ross Craib, and finally Cornish surf bassist Charlie Fowler. Yes, different universes allow very strong contrasts between the different parts of the song. It starts quiet and then becomes huge.

The Norwegian-British trio blew us away with the power of "Pillowside," and the song gave us some seriously powerful goosebumps.

About the song, Sigrid said: "We want other people to channel their pain and their questions through listening to our songs. This one is about escapism and living through your imagination when things are tough… imagining something better".

And it works! You just have to close your eyes and let yourself be transported wherever you want, carried by a caustic melody and an intense emotional charge. Whether it's the electric guitar riff, the hammering drums, the bewitching piano, or the beautiful vocal harmonies, the final part of the song will convince you that amilost is now a band to be reckoned with. For a debut single, the result is quite incredible, and we can't wait to discover what's next.
