When you hear the intro of "Seize the Day", June Road's debut single, you feel teleported to the other side of the planet. In an endless and rather desert landscape. When perfect vocal harmonies appear after 18 seconds, you know you're dealing with professionals. However, you read correctly. I did say "debut single". Hard to believe, isn't it?

Harry and Maia met on stage during a tour and started to make music together. They're now based in Brussels, Belgium. And these guys brought together by a twist of fate are creating magic in a beautiful indie-folk universe.

The song awakens little by little, with a marvelous violin break (yes, Maia is a violinist) at 1:16, while the second verse allows the percussion to enter the scene. And the vocal harmonies are more and more worked. The complicity is obvious. It works!

Inspired by a road trip in France, the song allows us to open up to new horizons and invites us to find solutions to each problem, and to continue to move forward whatever the cost. With a very folkish side and even a little retro side that is not unpleasant, "Seize the Day" is probably one of the best debut singles we've ever heard.

Very promising, this first track is only the beginning of a long and beautiful adventure. A new single in the summer and an EP next Fall will follow.
