After so many years, if you are a loyal reader, you will understand that we focus on strong emotions and goosebumps.
With Jacqueline Loor and her new single, we hit the nail on the head. The song is based on fragility. And in every sense of the word.
You've probably been through a breakup before, and it's not always the other's fault that our hearts are broken. Sometimes, fate persists and we insist on choosing the wrong partner. And we find ourselves in a fragile situation.
A fragility that we feel in the vocals. The voice is incredibly fragile and emotional. And we loved it!
Jacqueline told us that in reality, she relied on the messy experiences of her twin sister. Like what, human experiences make who we are.
The sincerity of the artist and her undeniable talent for songwriting gives her incredible emotional power. The song slowly builds up to a final part that will make your arm hair stand up vertically. The last-minute of the song is just... breathtaking.
Ah! Our famous "goosebumps" are there. By the way, I forgot, Jacqueline lives in Tenerife, a stone's throw from our favorite writer Luna Keller. No wonder the two young women get together often to write together and share good musical moments. So it was inevitable that Jacqueline Loor would end up at Indie Music Center. It's just called fate.
Included in our "Indie Pop" playlist, and of course, you will now hear this amazing track on the Indie Music Radio.
Jacqueline Loor's point of view
This song is about someone realizing they are always left heartbroken not because someone else broke their heart, but because they themselves keep choosing the wrong partner. They don't feel they are worthy and they don't feel like they are enough, so they always settle for someone who doesn't make them happy. And instead of being alone, they just keep choosing the wrong people until one day they realize they have the power to stop the heartbreak.
