Superserious are an Icelandic indie band from a small fishing town called Garðabær. They are formed of singer/songwriter and guitarist Daníel Jón, lead guitarist Haukur Jóhannesson, bassist Kristinn Þór Óskarsson, and drummer Helgi Einarsson. They formed in early 2021 but met in high school in Garðabær. Daníel lived in London, England, where most of the songs were written, and shortly after returning to Iceland, the band was formed. Within a year they signed with Alda Music (Universal Music Group). They released their debut album, Let's Get Serious, on 8 October 2021 with singles reaching number 1 on national radio. The band has started working on a new album, with new songs released in October 2022.
